Extensions V.1

For the first issue of EXTENSIONS we chose to leave the theme and format wide open to explore the breadth of the field. We invited contributions from artists and authors working at the intersection of the body and new technologies and let their responses dictate the character of Volume 1. What emerged was a selection of twelve gems, six essays, and six artworks that together represent the cutting edge of embodied technology. They challenge our assumptions and invite us into dynamic visual landscapes and corporalities. Browse through the online essays, view video, and interact with online realities on your own timig and in your own manner. We hope you will experience new sensations and discover unexpected connections between memory, perception, physicality, identity, virtuality, and digital technologies.
Thank you!
